• 8+ years of combined experience in developer relations or developer advocacy and in a hands-on technical role.
• 2+ years managing and growing a developer relations team.
• Proven ability to write posts, build demos, give talks, and engage forums.
• Established relationships within open source ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Own developer relations for our open source portfolio end-to-end; set strategy and measure outcomes.
• Hire, level, and grow a team of Developer Advocates and guide their careers.
• Strengthen Databricks' standing in Apache and Linux Foundation communities.
• Establish repeatable advocacy approaches and event playbooks for DevRel teams.
• Grow external adoption and contributions across open source projects.
• Drive awareness of Open Lakehouse and Omnigent through talks and conferences.
• Create high-quality educational content (videos, notebooks, tutorials, blog posts).
• Expand communities through meetups and online forums.
• Represent community needs to R&D and fellow DevRel managers.
• Apply AI-assisted workflows to scale the team's output.
• Define meaningful success metrics for the DevRel team.
