Job summary

Merus is seeking a Director, Design-Build Multi-Family to lead multi-family projects in Cincinnati, guiding a team of employee-owners from client contact to closeout. You will oversee budgets, schedule, quality, and safety while aligning with Merus’ vision and values.

You’ll drive design-build sales and development initiatives, manage risks and contracts, and mentor staff to grow their skills across complex, urban and suburban projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management, or relevant experience.
• 8+ years managing multi-family projects.
• 3+ years in conceptual estimating preferred.
• Familiar with design-build methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops a team of employee-owners toward objectives and client satisfaction.
• Provides leadership in risk evaluation, contract negotiations, and pricing.
• Oversees budget and financial management of multi-family projects.
• Serves as primary contact for the Market Leader on project performance.
• Leads design-build sales efforts with estimates and scopes.
• Supports development and leasing efforts with estimates and scopes.
• Ensures design, estimate, and proposal meet client needs for budget and schedule.
• Negotiates contract terms with client or Development Group with approval.
