Job summary

MPI is seeking a tenured Senior Project Manager for a diversified General Contractor in Columbus, Ohio, focusing on multifamily projects. The role involves leading scheduling, onboarding trade partners, BIM coordination, client communications, and rigorous reporting on budget, schedule, quality, and safety.

You will manage weekly meetings, monthly invoicing, change orders, and project close-out while guiding a team through scope changes and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, and Architecture or equivalent.
• 10 years project management experience.
• Previous Multifamily projects required.
• Leadership experience managing teams and client management.
• Estimating experience is a plus.
• Experience with Cost, negotiated work, MS Project, and Procore.
• CPM scheduling and planning.
• Ability to estimate change orders and pay apps.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and maintain a project schedule in a collaborative manner using lean principles.
• Lead on-boarding and contract negotiations with trade partners and vendors to align with budget.
• Coordinate BIM with the Pre-construction team, architects and engineers; resolve conflicts.
• Communicate project status with detailed reporting on budget, schedule, quality and safety.
• Conduct weekly OAC meetings and provide reports and documentation.
• Hold weekly coordination meetings with trades and vendors.
• Provide monthly invoices and approvals to ensure timely funding.
• Manage scope changes with clients to assess cost, schedule and quality impacts.
• Oversee inspections and drive project close-out with proper punch lists.
• Develop and enforce a project safety plan with the team.
• Assist with scope documentation and ensure design meets contractual obligations.
• Assist in selecting partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Oversee design documents and maintain version control with all team members.
• Collaborate on project phasing plans aligned with schedule and costs.
• Perform additional assignments as directed.
