Job summary

Accommodations Plus International (API) seeks a Director, Data & Standards to lead the data analytics team and own governance, quality, and AI enablement initiatives. This remote role balances hands-on analytics with strategic leadership, shaping data standards and ensuring trust across the organization.

You will drive AI experiments, oversee pilots, and partner with IT and Security on data access and compliance while advancing the company’s data-driven decision culture.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in data analytics, governance, or a related field.
• Fluency with Claude (mandatory) and enterprise AI tooling (Microsoft Copilot or equivalent).
• Experience defining data standards, metrics, or governance in a cross-functional environment.
• Strong SQL and BI/visualization experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to produce executive-ready materials.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity within a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a data analytics team across Engineering, Client Delivery, and Corporate stakeholders.
• Define and maintain enterprise data standards, metrics, documentation, and a shared data dictionary.
• Run AI experiments and pilots, guiding go/no-go decisions and integrations.
• Drive AI adoption and enablement, including Claude Enterprise and Copilot, with a monthly scorecard.
• Manage vendor relationships and track spend against the plan.
