This role emphasizes initiative‑driven governance, credible data definitions, and certification processes.

You’ll guide two ICs, shape metadata standards and data quality, and partner with Data & Analytics leadership to advance AI tooling and catalog adoption across the company.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in a data role such as analytics engineering, data engineering, or data governance.
• Hands-on experience in SQL and dbt.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Data Governance team (currently two ICs) and guide priorities.
• Own foundational governance buildout: metadata standards, glossary, data profiling, and model conformance.
• Run ongoing governance programs: asset certification, data quality observability, glossary maintenance.
• Own the data catalog (Atlan) and drive adoption across the organization.
• Set and enforce certification standards for data assets.
• Serve as SME for Data & Analytics and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Drive AI-native governance to scale metadata management and automation.
• Contribute to the data governance strategy and roadmap.
