The role emphasizes collaboration with business leadership and BI teams to enable data-driven decision making.

The position is hybrid, based from Leawood, KS or Burlington, MA, with remote US options considered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related technical field preferred.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in data engineering, data architecture, software engineering, or related area.
• Proven experience leading and managing technical teams.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to represent the Data Engineering function to internal and external stakeholders, including cross-functional Senior Leadership.
• Track record of successful enterprise data engineering projects and strategies.
• Experience with data infrastructure in a business context and with data platforms/pipelines to solve real-world problems.
• Experience working with data engineering and BI teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor data engineering teams, including data engineers, senior data engineers, and data architects.
• Stay current with data engineering trends and adopt transformative technologies.
• Oversee end-to-end data engineering projects within scope, budget, and timelines.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration and advocate for data-driven decision making.
• Establish robust data governance frameworks for privacy, quality, and lineage.
