Ascend Learning, a leading healthcare and learning technology company, seeks a Senior Business Analyst for Enterprise Applications. You will own end-to-end data projects, translating ambiguous asks into clear requirements and delivering data products that empower decision‑making.

Based in Burlington, MA or Leawood, KS with a hybrid schedule, you’ll collaborate with BI, Engineering, Architecture, and stakeholders across the business, mentoring analysts and ensuring reliable, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience researching, analyzing, and leveraging data from internal and external resources.
• Experience with Snowflake and Tableau; familiarity with AI-assisted analytics tools is a bonus.
• Deep, hands-on data experience in or with a data engineering team.
• Skilled translator who can clarify ambiguous asks and scope effort.
• Comfortable owning a backlog with guidance from a product manager.

Responsibilities

• Own intake of business asks and translate into clearly stated problems.
• Translate needs into testable user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Document context and metrics in plain language with sources.
• Reverse‑engineer SQL queries, Tableau and Power BI workbooks, and Excel models.
• Profile source data in Snowflake to validate structure and quality.
• Lead end-to-end data management and reporting solutions end to end.
