Job summary

Complex is seeking a Director, Data Engineering – AI & Data Platforms to lead strategy, architecture, and development of a scalable, AI-ready data platform powering analytics, ML, and generative AI applications. This hands-on leadership role blends technical depth with architectural oversight in a fast-moving digital media environment.

The Director will guide data pipelines, modeling, and cloud infrastructure (Snowflake, AWS) while mentoring engineers and collaborating with data science,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering/software analytics engineering or related field.
• 3+ years leading data engineering teams or data platform initiatives.
• 5+ years with SQL and Python for data workflows and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own strategy, architecture, and roadmap for data engineering and analytics platform.
• Design scalable, secure data pipelines for analytics, ML, and AI apps.
• Establish data modeling, deployment, testing, observability, and reliability standards.
