Job summary

Snowflake seeks a Director of Engineering for AI Enterprise to lead the AI Solutions team, driving advanced AI/ML solutions on the AI Data Cloud and partnering with major clients to deliver measurable business impact.

You will recruit and scale a global engineering organization, define the technical vision, and own end-to-end implementation from concept to production deployments, collaborating with Product, GTM, and Sales teams.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related majors, or equivalent experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering, with at least 4 years in an Engineering Director role managing managers.
• Deep technical expertise in AI/ML, hands-on experience with LLMs, NLP, and generative AI technologies.
• Proven track record delivering complex software solutions to enterprise customers in large-scale environments.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations across multiple locations.
• Ability to partner with Product, Sales, Delivery and Customer Success to drive business outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management, articulating technical vision to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strategic mindset with strong project management and execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and scale a global engineering organization.
• Define the long-term technical vision and structure for the AI Solutions team.
• Lead design and development of AI/ML solutions using Snowflake Cortex and Snowflake ML.
• Engage with Fortune 100 customers and GTM teams to ensure business impact.
• Partner with Product, Research, and Sales to deliver cohesive solutions.
• Drive continuous improvement in AI methodologies and best practices.
• Travel up to 25% to engage with customers and global teams.
