Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering, data platform, or infrastructure roles with 5+ years in director-level leadership.
• Proven track record building and scaling data platforms (ingestion pipelines, warehousing, semantic/metrics layers) at SaaS scale.
• Experience partnering with Data Science / Analytics leadership as a peer stakeholder.
• Strong track record hiring, developing, and retaining engineering managers and senior ICs.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with executive stakeholders.
• Related technical degree required.

Responsibilities

• Architect data layers and APIs enabling AI agents to query and act on Slack data.
• Evolve the semantic layer with governance, lineage, and machine-readable metrics.
• Build real-time data products and streaming infrastructure.
• Ship agentic analytics tooling for self-serve analytics and AI-driven insights.
• Establish AI-native observability and cost attribution for data services.
• Drive the Data MCP strategy and unify the data engineering roadmap across teams.
