Job summary

Slate seeks a Director of Cybersecurity to own security strategy, governance, and a cross-functional program across the company. You will establish roadmaps, risk-based priorities, and an auditable security posture that supports product development and manufacturing at scale.

You will lead a growing security team, drive regulatory readiness, and partner with engineering, legal, finance, and operations to embed security into every layer of the business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years in information security with at least 5 years leading security teams.
• Experience building or maturing security programs across multiple domains.
• Hands-on audit and certification experience across recognized frameworks.
• Experience securing manufacturing, industrial, or OT environments.

Responsibilities

• Define cybersecurity strategy, multi-year roadmap, and risk-based priorities.
• Lead compliance with SOX IT controls, NIST CSF 2.0, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, CCPA and state privacy laws, NIST 800-171 and CMMC.
• Recruit, lead, and develop a security team and drive security awareness.
• Partner with vehicle engineering for ISO/SAE 21434, UN R155/R156, and a Cybersecurity Management System.
• Embed security into the SDLC with Software Engineering and DevOps across cloud and on-prem platforms.
• Oversee security operations, incident response, and third-party risk in a scalable program.
