Job summary

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) seeks a Director of Contract and Customized Training to lead the design, sale, delivery, and financial performance of customized training for regional employers. The role focuses on translating employer needs into training solutions and managing engagements from assessment through renewal.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Workforce Development, this position drives revenue, partners with regional economic development, and ensures high-quality

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in contract training, corporate training, business development, or workforce program management.
• Demonstrated experience developing and managing employer or client relationships, including experience negotiating or administering agreements.
• Experience managing a budget or a revenue generating program.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, sale, delivery, and financial performance of customized training for employers across the college service region.
• Serve as primary relationship manager for business, industry, government, and nonprofit clients.
• Negotiate and draft training agreements with scope, deliverables, and pricing terms.
• Monitor contract compliance, track engagements, and renewals; coordinate with workforce staff for facilities and scheduling.
• Develop customized curriculum with SMEs and credentialing bodies; recruit and evaluate instructors.
