Job summary

Archway Management is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department, ensuring quality, safe, and compliant food service for residents. You will oversee staff, menus, purchasing, and coordination with Nursing, Maintenance, and Housekeeping.

The role requires strong leadership, staff development, and experience with labor unions/contract compliance. The position includes competitive salary and benefits; COVID vaccine is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with labor unions and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and directs the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department and its activities.
• Plans, develops, and directs the entire staff.
• Supervises and may assist in preparation of all products and meals so they are plate-able and appetizing by following planned menus and standard recipes.
• Maintains stock levels through purchasing and inventory processes.
• Ensures that residents' nutritional needs are met.
• Coordinates services with Nursing, Maintenance, Housekeeping, etc.
• Plans and executes catering needs and special events.
• Responds to complaints from residents and staff regarding all areas of responsibility.
• Maintains confidentiality of resident care information.
• Develops and carries through appropriate nutritional care for residents; audits diet orders and records.
• Maintains ongoing quality assurance program for Culinary and Nutritional Services.
• Ensures work areas and equipment are clean, sanitary, and safe; implements corrective actions.
• Works on emergency disaster programs (fire, severe weather).
• Follows departmental budget and maintains operations within it.
• Maintains menus and uses menu planning software; keeps records per policies and regulations.
