Job summary

Archway Management seeks a Food Service Director to plan, organize, develop, and direct the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department in accordance with company standards and regulatory guidelines. The role ensures daily delivery of quality nutritional services, safe operations, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with Nursing, Maintenance, and Housekeeping.

It also oversees budgeting and staff development, including catering for events.

Qualifications

• Experience in working with labor unions and contract compliance.
• Directly or indirectly manages all Culinary and Nutritional Services staff.
• Interviews, selects, and orients new direct reports.
• Defines, establishes, and promotes performance expectations and provides developmental guidance.
• Ensures staffing plans and training programs are in place.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, and directs the Culinary and Nutritional Services Department.
• Supervises and develops staff and ensures meals are plate-able and appetizing.
• Maintains stock levels and inventory through purchasing processes.
• Coordinates services with Nursing, Maintenance, and Housekeeping.
• Plans and executes catering needs and special events.
• Maintains quality, compliance, and risk management through audits.
• Follows departmental budget and maintains operations within it.
• Ensures staffing coverage and staff development.
