Job summary

Hamline University seeks a Corporate and Foundations Relations Director to grow and manage a portfolio of priority corporate and foundation prospects, focusing on gifts of $500,000 and above. You will work with academic leadership, craft proposals, and secure funding to advance Hamline's mission.

You will also lead stewardship efforts, coordinate sponsorships and events, and travel to cultivate high-level relationships with donors across local, regional, and national territories.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with strong fundraising background.
• Minimum of four years in development or comparable roles.
• Ability to travel locally, regionally, and nationally.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects (75–125).
• Solicit outright gifts and sponsorships; prepare LOIs and proposals.
• Develop stewardship plans and donor communications.
• Collaborate with Institutional Advancement and academic leadership.
• Coordinate events and travel to meet donors; ensure donor intent is documented.
