Job summary

Merrimack College seeks a Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations to lead strategy and execution for securing foundations and corporate support. You will steward an active portfolio, coordinate with campus leaders, and translate research into compelling proposals.

Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Research and Knowledge Enterprise, this on-campus role oversees 60–80 prospects with multi-year gift potential, including six-figure grants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Progressive fundraising experience in higher education or non-profit.
• Demonstrated success closing five- and six-figure grants/gifts.
• Strong narrative and editing abilities for funding proposals.
• Experience with fundraising CRMs and research databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage an active portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects.
• Develop and execute cultivation and solicitation plans to secure grants and gifts.
• Conduct site visits and meaningful interactions with funders and leadership.
• Draft Letters of Inquiry, tailored proposals, pitch decks, and stewardship reports.
