Job summary

Hamline University seeks a Corporate and Foundations Relations Director to manage a portfolio of priority corporate and foundation prospects, focusing on gifts of $500,000 and above. You will engage with academic leadership and collaborate across Institutional Advancement to develop strategies and secure support.

The role requires travel, working evenings/weekends, and strong donor relationship skills, with a goal of advancing university priorities through strategic fundraising and stewardship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 4 years of professional fundraising or related sales experience.
• Experience with corporate and foundation fundraising preferred.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of corporate and foundation prospects (appx. 75 - 125).
• Engage with academic leadership and departments to identify key donors; develop strategies.
• Collaborate with Institutional Advancement teams including Sponsored Programs, Major Gifts, Annual Giving, Alumni Relations, Events, and Operations.
• Solicit all types of outright gifts and sponsorships; prepare letters of inquiry, proposals and donor agreements.
• Develop stewardship plans and materials per donor needs.
• Lead/participate in university events, often evenings/weekends.
• Travel to assigned territories to meet donors and prospects.
• Stay current with development best practices and trends.
• All other duties as assigned.
