Job summary

Wonder is seeking a Director of Corporate Accounting in New York to lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close under US GAAP and to mentor a high-performing accounting team. You will own SOX controls, oversee fixed asset and capital project accounting, and collaborate with Engineering and Product on data requirements.

You’ll manage internal-use software (ASC 350-40) and intangible assets, including amortization and impairments, with ERP/close software support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA certification preferred.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with 4+ years in leadership.
• Deep US GAAP knowledge, corporate consolidations, and SOX experience.
• Experience in high-growth environments with policy creation and audit support.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end corporate close under US GAAP.
• Mentor and scale a high-performing corporate accounting team.
• Strengthen SOX-compliant internal controls over financial reporting.
• Oversee fixed asset and capital project accounting; manage depreciation and capitalization policies.
• Oversee internal-use software accounting (ASC 350-40) and intangible assets; manage amortization and impairment analyses.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and IT to align data requirements and project tracking.
