Job summary

Concrete Strategies is seeking a Director of Construction to lead project execution and field leadership. The role emphasizes hands-on operational leadership, strict adherence to budgets, staffing, scheduling, and safety.

You’ll work with project directors, managers, and field teams to keep projects well‑planned and on track. The position focuses on construction operations with P&L oversight resting with the Area VP.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in construction operations or senior roles.
• Strong knowledge of self-perform concrete construction, scheduling, and cost control.
• Experience managing profitability, forecasting, and margin protection.
• Proven ability to coach and develop project teams and hold people accountable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities across the assigned Area.
• Lead planning, staffing, safety, scheduling, and production of projects.
• Monitor cost, productivity, schedule, quality, and risk; manage project health meetings.
• Drive use of project-management tools and reporting processes.
• Mentor Project Directors, Managers, and field leaders; build succession within area operations.
