Job summary

Concrete Strategies is a full-service national concrete contractor seeking a Director of Construction to lead project execution and drive profitability across the assigned Area. This hands-on role partners with Project Directors, Project Managers, and field leaders to keep projects well-planned, staffed, and moving forward while maintaining safety and quality.

You will oversee performance, staffing, forecasting, and risk management, coach teams, and ensure disciplined use of company systems.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience in construction operations.
• Experience leading Project Directors, Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams.
• Strong knowledge of self-perform concrete construction, project execution, scheduling, cost control, labor planning, production tracking, safety, quality, and client management.
• Experience managing job profitability, forecasting, cost-to-complete accuracy, production performance, and margin protection.
• Strong understanding of project-management systems, reporting processes, and job-health practices.
• Ability to spot concerns early, make sound decisions, and guide teams through complex project challenges.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities across the assigned Area and ensure safe, efficient execution.
• Guide staffing, sequencing, and production planning to meet project requirements.
• Monitor cost projections, schedules, productivity, and margin trends; escalate risks with recommendations.
• Drive project-health reporting and weekly health meetings with clear owners and deadlines.
• Coach and develop project-management staff across multiple levels; build succession planning.
