Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate interrelating activities of trade partners, suppliers, vendors, customers, design, and engineering teams
  • Apply organizational, leadership, communication, management, and problem-solving skills to project(s)
  • Monitor and report project financial status
  • Administer subcontracts and contracts
  • Develop and monitor job progress schedules
  • Purchase and monitor delivery of materials, ensuring price, quality, and specification compliance
  • Negotiate contracts with trade partners and vendors, eliminate scope gaps, and limit project risk
  • Review and approve trade partner and vendor payment requests
  • Evaluate change order requests
  • Coordinate with design and engineering teams to ensure projects are designed, procured, and constructed within operating guidelines and technical requirements
  • Prepare and present project reports, including progress analyses, schedules, billings, and status reports
  • Organize and maintain job files
  • Review shop drawings and submittals for scope compliance
  • Potentially support project estimating and proposal preparation
  • Communicate, implement, and enforce safety and quality programs on site
  • Support team leadership and collaboration across multiple project teams
  • Supervise project support team members and subcontractors

Job description

Requirements
  • Minimum of six years of experience in construction management
  • Technical knowledge and experience supporting projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent, and/or successful completion of at least two projects in a Project Manager I role or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture) preferred
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office, mobile devices, and innovative programs/software provided by Gray
  • Energetic, self-motivated, collaborative team-oriented approach
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including frequently lifting/moving up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs
  • Ability to work in office and job-site environments with exposure to weather, heights, fumes, airborne particles, electrical risks, explosives, vibrations, and moderate-to-loud noise
  • Overtime and travel required
  • Visa sponsorship is not available
