Overview

TRC’s client, one of the fastest growing Data Center construction companies in the US, is looking for a Director of Construction to join their team in the Chicagoland market!

This is a high impact, high visibility role offering significant upward mobility and long-term career growth.

The Director provides leadership and hands-on project oversight for data center construction projects in the Chicagoland and other markets. This role is responsible for managing full building and campus-level projects, ensuring work is executed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all specifications and quality standards. The Director partners closely with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors while supporting overall market leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• 3+ years of construction experience required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Project)
• Experience with Yardi, Procore, or Prolog preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience across Division 2–10 trades (concrete through finishes)
• Strong blueprint and construction document interpretation skills
• Ability to manage subcontractors and resolve performance issues
• Strong understanding of jobsite safety, quality, and compliance standards
• Ability to identify deficient work and drive corrective action
• Capable of working on active job sites, including stairs and elevated structures
