Job summary

VantageScore is seeking a Director of Compliance to scale and mature its compliance program. Reporting to the General Counsel, you will own the strategic evolution of our compliance infrastructure and lead high-level strategy and meticulous execution.

You will partner with Legal, Data Science, Data & Technology, and business teams to ensure policies, controls, and monitoring align with laws and regulations, while fostering a culture of integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., compliance, law, business).
• 5–7 years building data governance, privacy, and other compliance programs in financial services or fintech.
• Proven experience scaling compliance programs, not just maintaining them.
• Strong working knowledge of privacy, data governance, and competition concepts.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage employees at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and oversight of enterprise compliance program aligned to objectives.
• Draft and refine policies; oversee governance and reporting to executives.
• Develop monitoring metrics; identify gaps and implement action plans.
• Promote a culture of integrity and ethical behavior across the org.
• Collaborate with Legal, Data Science, Tech, and business teams on compliance alignment.
