Job summary

Honor is seeking a Director of Risk & Compliance Operations to transform compliance into a proactive, scalable function that enables growth. You will lead a team of 5–10 professionals, partner with Product and Engineering to build automated solutions, and own audits, licensing, and operational readiness across markets.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in operations, product operations, or compliance roles within a technology-first or high-growth company.
• Experience partnering with Product and Engineering to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• Track record building scalable systems, processes, and team structures.
• Exceptional analytical skills with large or imperfect data sets.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven people management experience developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, including distilling regulatory topics for leadership.
• Preferred: employment law compliance, home care or healthcare regulation, state licensing, multi-state experience.

Responsibilities

• Set strategic direction for the Compliance Operations function—defining how Honor manages compliance across employment law and home care licensing as we grow into new markets.
• Continuously assess compliance risk and opportunities to simplify, streamline, or eliminate operational friction in regulatory requirements.
• Own day-to-day compliance execution across all markets, building durable systems and protocols to prevent reoccurrence.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to build tech-first, automated solutions that reduce manual compliance effort and scale operations.
• Lead state licensing audits and audit-readiness programs end to end—identify gaps and drive remediation across teams.
• Ensure operational readiness for new markets and service offerings.
• Translate regulatory changes into actionable operational requirements for Legal to execute.
• Build and develop a 5–10 person team of compliance and operations professionals.
• Develop and own key compliance metrics and dashboards for senior leadership visibility.
