Job summary

The Center for Developmentally Disabled (CDD) seeks an experienced Director of Compliance and Operations in Kansas City, MO. This role provides agency-wide leadership for regulatory compliance, quality assurance, operational systems, fleet administration, facilities coordination, and asset controls, supervising the Compliance Specialist and Operations Coordinator.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, healthcare administration, human services, compliance, quality assurance, or a related field.
• At least five years of progressively responsible experience in compliance, quality assurance, operations, or related areas, including human services or developmental-disability services.
• At least two years of formal supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of Missouri DMH requirements, licensing, accreditation standards, or similar regulatory frameworks.
• Experience managing audits, corrective actions, records, projects, vendors, or operational controls.
• Strong supervisory, project-management, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, review, implementation, and maintenance of compliance policies and monitoring systems.
• Oversee audits using DMH, licensing, CARF, and internal checklists; drive corrective actions.
• Review findings, identify trends, prioritize risk, assign actions, and verify resolution.
• Ensure organized, audit-ready records and client-file compliance documentation.
• Provide clear compliance reports and risk summaries to executive leadership.
• Promote consistent understanding and application of regulatory requirements across departments.
