Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines using job boards, referrals, partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Manage job postings and recruitment platforms while identifying new sourcing strategies.
  • Monitor labor market trends to strengthen hiring strategies and candidate engagement.
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screens and preliminary interviews; coordinate interviews between candidates and managers.
  • Maintain accurate applicant records in the ATS and assist with offers.
  • Represent the agency at job fairs and community hiring events; build relationships with community organizations.
  • Support recruiting efforts throughout the KC metro with occasional travel across Missouri.

What You’ll Do
Recruitment Strategy & Talent Sourcing
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines using job boards, referral programs, workforce partnerships, and community outreach.
  • Manage job postings and recruitment platforms while identifying new sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
  • Monitor labor market trends and recruitment activity to strengthen hiring strategies and candidate engagement.
Candidate Screening & Interview Coordination
  • Review applications and resumes to identify qualified candidates.
  • Conduct phone screens and preliminary interviews to assess qualifications and alignment with agency values.
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers and provide realistic job previews.
Hiring Process Administration
  • Maintain accurate applicant records within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Assist with preparing employment offers and coordinating hiring decisions with leadership and Human Resources.
  • Track recruitment activity and ensure hiring documentation aligns with agency policies and employment regulations.
  • Partner with organizational leadership and the HR Recruitment team to support workforce planning and hiring priorities.
  • Represent the agency at job fairs, community hiring events, and workforce partnership initiatives.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, workforce development partners, and educational institutions.
  • Support recruiting efforts throughout the Kansas City metro area with occasional travel across Missouri.
What You Bring
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
    OR
  • Equivalent recruiting or talent acquisition experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
AND
  • Experience supporting full-cycle recruiting activities including sourcing, screening, and interview coordination
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple hiring priorities and recruiting pipelines
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with leadership and hiring managers
  • Valid MO Class E or KS Class C driver's license
Preferred
  • Experience recruiting in healthcare, nonprofit, or human services environments
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment platforms
  • Experience participating in job fairs, workforce partnerships, or community recruitment initiatives
  • Knowledge of employment laws and hiring best practices
The Role at a Glance
  • Pay: Starting at approximately $26.19/hour (Non-Exempt)
  • Schedule: Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
  • Work Setting: Primarily office-based with community outreach, hiring events, and workforce partnerships across the Kansas City metro area and occasionally throughout Missouri.

You must meet these qualifications in order to work for CDD.

Prior to being hired, you must have a high school diploma or GED.

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to work for CDD.

You must have two forms of ID (driver's license or state ID, social security card, birth certificate, U.S. Passport, etc.).

You must be willing to work evenings, weekends and some holidays.

You must have the ability to read and document on behaviors, understand and implement person supported training plans, and assist individuals supported with personal hygiene (e.g. tooth brushing, bathing, showering, shaving, dressing, etc.).

You must have the ability to pass training courses such as medication administration, Adult First Aid, Adult CPR, and Abuse and Neglect.

Must have reliable transportation to and from work, and a Motor Vehicle Record check is required for some positions. Auto insurance coverage may be required for some positions as well.

CDD needs to be able to reach you by telephone.

Be aware that CDD will run a criminal background check.

We prefer non-smokers, and it is helpful for ALL full-time staff to have a current, valid driver's license,
and be able to obtain a chauffeur's license if needed.
