Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy Heartland in Berkeley, MO, seeks a Director of Nursing to lead the nursing team, coordinate clinical care, and ensure regulatory compliance across all programs.

The role reports to the Chief Program Officer and requires an active MO RN license, a BSN, and 1+ year of experience with individuals who have developmental disabilities. Strong leadership and EHR proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• BSN degree from an accredited program.
• Active Missouri RN license.
• Minimum 1 year experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Strong leadership, communication and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the nursing team including scheduling, evaluations, and training.
• Oversee medication management across service lines (Residential, Respite, Community Services, CDC, Autism Clinics, Camps).
• Review medical documentation for accuracy and quality of care.
• Develop and implement policies to support client health and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with medical professionals, pharmacies, and external providers for coordinated care.
• Ensure timely incident reporting and participate in investigations.
• Participate in CARE TEAM meetings with clinical input.
• Manage EHR/EMAR documentation and oversee budget for nursing services.
• Provide clinical training including Level 1 Medication Administration.
• Perform medical record reviews for potential admissions.
