Job summary

Medica is seeking a Director of Compensation to provide strategic direction for our enterprise compensation function. You will design scalable job architectures, lead executive and board compensation, and partner with leaders to balance market data with internal equity and business goals.

You will build and coach a high-performing team, standardize processes, and adopt automation to drive reliable insights across the organization. This is an onsite role in Minnetonka, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• 10 years of progressive compensation or total rewards experience, including experience designing job architecture and salary structures, supporting executive compensation and board governance, leading teams, and implementing compensation processes or technology.
• 5 years of people leadership experience
• Certified Compensation Professional or similar credential

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise job architecture and market-pricing standards.
• Direct executive and board compensation strategy, benchmarking, program design, and governance.
• Partner with business leaders on compensation strategy, offers, promotions, retention, and pay actions.
• Standardize core processes, strengthen data quality, and implement tools and automation for insights.
• Oversee annual cycles, including salary structures, merit and incentive planning, and equity monitoring.
