Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead national operations, drive workflow standardization, and optimize performance across the brokerage. The role partners with regional leaders to scale processes and support M&A integration, with remote-first expectations and some onsite flexibility as needed.

Qualified candidates will have a P&C license, CPCU/CIC or equivalent, and 5–7+ years of senior Commercial Lines leadership in a large agency environment.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience in a large brokerage/agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines Strategy: Develop and execute initiatives to strengthen Commercial Lines operations, service delivery, and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions to improve efficiency and client outcomes.
• Workflow Standardization: Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Process Optimization: Lead improvement initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues, identify causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing and workload to develop capacity plans for growth.
• Managed Services Alignment: Ensure efficient resource use and alignment with goals.
• Technical Expertise: Serve as national Commercial P&C SME for operations, workflows, systems, and best practices.
• M&A Integration Support: Assist in acquisition initiatives via operational assessments and integration planning.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with producers and leaders to drive engagement and implementation.
• Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote use of EPIC and BI tools to boost performance.
• Performance Analysis: Use metrics and BI to drive improvements.
• Change Leadership: Guide adoption of new processes and workflows.
