Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Director, Commercial Lines to lead national P&C operations and agency performance. The role partners with senior leaders to standardize workflows, drive efficiency, and support growth through strategic initiatives and M&A integration.

The ideal candidate will hold an active P&C license with CPCU/CIC preferred, and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership at a large brokerage. Remote work is favored with on-site hybrid opportunities as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty License required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation (or equivalent).
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Demonstrated experience with workflow standardization and continuous improvement.
• Experience with mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Ability to influence leaders in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Commercial Lines strategy with leadership teams.
• Identify operational challenges and implement scalable solutions.
• Establish standardized workflows and best practices across the organization.
• Lead process improvement initiatives to boost productivity and quality.
• Analyze root causes and implement corrective actions for improvements.
• Plan staffing and capacity to support growth and operations.
• Align Managed Services resources with organizational goals.
• Provide guidance as a national P&C subject matter expert.
• Support M&A integration through planning and standardization.
• Collaborate with producers, operations, and leadership for results.
• Promote EPIC usage and optimize technology platforms.
• Use metrics to drive performance and accountability.
• Lead organizational change and develop leadership capabilities.
• Continuous learning and development to maintain expertise.
