Job summary

Insurance Office of America seeks a Director/VP, Commercial Lines to lead nationwide Commercial P&C operations. You will partner with regional leadership to standardize workflows, drive efficiency, and support M&A integration across a large brokerage.

The ideal candidate holds an active P&C license, CPCU or CIC (preferred), and 5–7+ years in commercial lines leadership within a major agency. Remote work with occasional hybrid onsite may be required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Active Property & Casualty license required.
• CPCU and/or CIC designation strongly preferred.
• 5–7+ years of Commercial Lines operational leadership experience within a large insurance brokerage or agency.
• Strong expertise in Commercial P&C agency operations, workflows, servicing models, and process optimization.
• Experience with workflow standardization, operational excellence, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.
• Applied EPIC experience strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
• Proven ability to influence leaders and drive results in a highly matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Lines Strategy: Partner with leadership to develop initiatives that strengthen operations and performance.
• Operational Excellence: Identify challenges and implement scalable solutions improving efficiency and outcomes.
• Workflow Standardization: Establish standardized Commercial Lines workflows across the organization.
• Process Optimization: Lead initiatives to increase productivity and reduce variation.
• Root Cause Analysis: Evaluate issues, identify causes, implement corrective actions.
• Workforce Planning: Analyze staffing and workload to develop capacity plans.
• Managed Services Alignment: Align resources with organizational goals.
• Technical Expertise: Provide guidance on agency operations, workflows, systems, and best practices.
• M&A Integration Support: Support integration planning and process standardization during mergers.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Drive engagement and accountability across teams.
• Systems & Technology Optimization: Promote EPIC usage and related tech for better performance.
• Performance Analysis: Use metrics to evaluate effectiveness and identify improvements.
• Change Leadership: Facilitate adoption of new processes and practices.
