True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Director of Manufacturing Engineering & Technology to guide hands-on CNC manufacturing, drive process development, and mentor the engineering team on the shop floor.

The role emphasizes practical automation, digital tools, and AI integration to elevate production capabilities. The position leads manufacturing transformation, develops data-driven work instructions, and collaborates across operations, quality, and maintenance to deliver measurable

Qualifications

Significant CNC manufacturing leadership experience on the shop floor.
Experience turning engineering drawings into production processes.
Solid CNC programming, tooling, and fixture design knowledge.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues on the shop floor.
Experience implementing digital manufacturing tools and AI in workflows.

Responsibilities

Lead hands-on manufacturing engineering activities on the shop floor.
Develop and execute a modernization roadmap for CNC operations.
Digitize CNC operations and implement data collection and digital work instructions.
Identify and apply automation and AI to improve efficiency and troubleshooting.
Coach and develop the engineering team while staying hands-on.
