Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Networking security organization seeks a Director of Security Operations to shape strategy and build high‑performing teams across Detection & Response, IT Security, IAM and CTI. Qualifications

• 10+ years in cybersecurity with 5+ years leading teams.
• Strong technical background with ability to read/write code (Python preferred).
• Experience building or maturing security programs and operational capabilities.
• Decisive decision-maker during critical incidents.
• Excellent communicator with engineers, executives, and cross-functional partners.
• Operate with high autonomy and minimal supervision.
• Experience leading teams through major security incidents.
• Deep expertise in IAM at scale, particularly in AWS and GCP environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and lead a unified security operations strategy across four domains (Detection & Response, IT Security, IAM, and Cyber Threat Intelligence).
• Mature and expand the Cyber Threat Intelligence program, including team development and integration with security operations.
• Own the identity and access management strategy across corporate systems and cloud infrastructure.
• Partner with Security, Engineering, IT, Legal, Trust & Safety, and executive leadership to align security priorities with company goals.
• Ensure measurable outcomes and accountability across all four security domains.
• Maintain strong technical depth to evaluate designs and guide engineering decisions.
• Review detection logic, incidents, IAM configurations, or prototypes as needed.
• Promote automation, scalability, and reliability across security operations.
• Advise leadership on security risks and operational health and provide executive visibility into posture and investments.
• Translate threat intelligence into business-relevant insights.
• Lead response during major security incidents and represent security externally when appropriate.
