Job summary

Legion Technologies seeks a Director of Engineering, DevOps & SRE to own the availability, scalability, and security of our AWS‑based production platform. You’ll contribute 20–30% hands‑on to architecture, tooling, and incident response while steering vision, roadmap, and cross‑team execution.

You’ll hire and scale a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team, drive IaC/CI/CD, ensure security controls and audit readiness, and lead incident management and on‑call rotations.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in DevOps/SRE or production infra with people management.
• Hands‑on AWS production workloads with EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, S3.
• 5+ years using observability tools (Datadog/Prometheus/Grafana).
• Infrastructure‑as‑code experience with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficient in Go, Python, or Bash; comfortable with Linux production.

Responsibilities

• Hire and build a globally distributed DevOps/SRE team; mentor engineers.
• Own the AWS production infra roadmap for high availability and cost efficiency.
• Lead SecOps including vulnerability management and incident remediation.
• Define and track OKRs for infrastructure reliability, automation, and security.
• Champion observability and automate alert triage and response.
• Drive IaC, CI/CD, and automation to boost velocity.
• Collaborate with engineering/IT on standards and compliance.
• Oversee incident management on‑call rotations.
