Job summary

Vetter Senior Living seeks a Director of Clinical Informatics to lead clinical documentation improvement, ICD-10 coding accuracy, and EHR optimization across our communities. This role combines nursing expertise with health IT leadership to enhance reimbursement and quality outcomes.

You will partner with clinical and operations teams, provide training, audits, and governance to ensure compliant documentation and streamlined workflows, traveling to multiple locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ICD-10 coding principles and clinical documentation standards.
• Experience with electronic health record platforms in healthcare.
• Ability to analyze clinical workflows and implement practical system solutions.
• Strong presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and promote accurate ICD-10 diagnosis coding across the organization.
• Serve as the primary clinical resource for EHR systems and related documentation.
• Review documentation practices and EHR utilization to identify improvement opportunities.
• Conduct audits to support compliance, coding accuracy, and quality outcomes.
• Provide education, training, and coaching to clinical leaders and care teams.
• Partner with reimbursement, billing, and operations to address concerns.
• Offer guidance on regulatory requirements, software updates, and best practices.
• Lead workflow improvement, standardization, and operational efficiency.
• Build collaborative relationships across communities.
