Job summary

Vernon Health is seeking a Manager, Clinical Informatics to lead the strategy, implementation, optimization, and support of clinical information systems across the organization.

You will collaborate with clinical leaders, providers, Information Technology, and operations to ensure technology solutions support quality outcomes, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional experience for patients and staff, while driving user adoption through training and governance.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related field.
• Strong understanding of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, information systems, project management, and change management.
• Demonstrated aptitude for healthcare technology and information systems.
• Excellent communication, presentation, customer service, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Clinical Informatics team through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Oversee the implementation, optimization, testing, support, and evaluation of clinical and non-clinical information systems.
• Collaborate with providers, clinical departments, and IT to improve workflows, usability, and adoption.
• Manage end-user training programs and competency validation for clinical information systems.
• Develop and maintain department policies, procedures, standards, and performance metrics.
• Ensure HIPAA, CMS, state regulations, and organizational policy compliance.
• Monitor budgets, staffing, and resource utilization.
• Support EHR governance and liaise between users, vendors, leadership, and IT.
• Drive continuous improvement in quality, patient safety, engagement, and operations.
