Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director of Child Care to join our team! The Director is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for both staff and the children in our care. This position manages staff, selects and implements age-appropriate programs and activities for our children. This position also provides support for both staff and parents by keeping them informed on the daily operations and plans of the center. The ideal candidate will need a basic knowledge of Keystone Stars and DHS regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve all lessons, printed materials, process art, activities
• Maintain compliance with county, state regulations and Keystone Stars.
• Manage daily operations of the center, including scheduling, staff support, parental engagement, and parent-teacher conferences.
• Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment, field trips, and staff excursions.

Qualifications:

• The required licensing/certifications
• Prior experience as Lead Teacher and/or Administrator
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is preferred
• Supervisory experience and strong communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in early child development and early childhood education.
