Develop and manage the overall strategy for delivering programs and services related to Before and After School Enrichment programs. Ensure staff excellence in the delivery of high-quality and safe programs. Manage all aspects of the child care programs to meet state licensing and Quality Rating System standards. Build a team of qualified leaders prioritizing children's care and family education. Serve as a leader for the YMCA, supporting its mission.

Minimum requirements for this role:

• Degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field, as defined by state licensing requirements
• Supervisory experience
• At least 2 years (2500 hours) of childcare experience

Key responsibilities include:

• Adhere to YMCA policies, state licensing regulations, and Quality Rating System standards (e.g., NAEYC, Keystone STARS, Grow NJ Kids, ACA)
• Supervise children ensuring safety at all times, maintaining proper ratios, and accurate attendance records
• Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about children's progress, maintaining confidentiality with patience and sensitivity
• Engage with children positively, providing age-appropriate interactions and feedback
• Ensure center materials and organization support quality learning environments
• Participate in team meetings and trainings as scheduled
• Lead campaigns for the Annual Campaign, developing donors and volunteers
• Conduct weekly child observations and address behavioral or developmental concerns
• Maintain compliance with licensing and quality standards, preparing for audits
• Manage staff schedules, conduct evaluations, and ensure staff accountability
• Oversee communication with families, coordinate with other branches, and manage budgets and payroll
• Ensure ongoing program quality, safety, and compliance
• Perform other duties as assigned
