Job summary

Make-A-Wish America is seeking a Director, Chapter Advancement (CRL) to advise chapters and strengthen relationships across the network. You will lead strategies to improve chapter performance, drive operational efficiency, and grow financial strength while collaborating with National Office, boards, and chapter CEOs.

The role emphasizes bold, strategic, hands-on leadership, cross-functional teamwork, and proactive communication across internal and external stakeholders to advance the mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, or related field preferred.
• 10+ years of total experience; 7+ years in federated nonprofit environment required.
• Proven experience in nonprofit performance management and/or strategic consulting.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Power BI.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial acumen with project management and organizational abilities.
• Knowledge of nonprofit industry best practices and trends.
• Demonstrated understanding of chapter operations and board dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of chapters to identify key areas for improvement and formulate actionable recommendations.
• Develop and implement tailored strategies with cross-functional teams to address identified challenges.
• Analyze financial statements, budgets, and KPIs to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
• Streamline and support operational processes within chapters to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor KPIs to track progress and measure success of improvement initiatives.
• Engage with chapter leadership, department heads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration.
• Introduce industry best practices and benchmarks to drive continuous improvement in operations.
• Collaborate with internal teams (finance, operations, development, mission) to execute improvement initiatives.
