Job summary

The University of Utah seeks a highly motivated, student-centered Director for Campus Support & Intervention. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Director will supervise and manage student support systems and provide leadership, training, and guidance to the Campus Support & Intervention team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency.
• 8 years of progressively more responsible management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, administration and revision of departmental policies and procedures and student support and intervention policies and processes consistent with University community standards and professional best practices.
• Maintains student support records in accordance with all Federal laws and University policies and monitors and ensures compliance with Federal and State laws including the Clery Act, Title IX, and Drug Free Schools.
• Serves as the chair of the University's Behavioral Intervention Team with administrative units to address and resolve issues including threat assessment strategies.
• Oversees communication with students, faculty, staff, parents, attorneys, and others regarding student support matters.
• Provides consultation for students with problems, questions, and/or concerns regarding sexual assault, stalking situations, physical assault, harassment, problems with faculty and staff, etc.
• Directs student programming and learning outcomes in the area of student support and intervention designed to improve student development while achieving institutional objectives.
