Job summary

The University of Utah seeks a highly motivated, student-centered Director for Campus Support & Intervention. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Director will supervise student support systems, provide leadership and training, and ensure adherence to best practices in student support on campus.

The role includes chairing the Behavioral Intervention Team, cross-departmental leadership, and collaboration with the ODOS team to create compliant and effective processes for student

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area, or equivalency (one year of education can be substituted for one year of related work experience)
• 8 years of progressively more responsible management experience
• Demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, administer and revise departmental policies and procedures for student support and intervention
• Maintain student support records in compliance with Federal laws and University policies
• Serve as chair of the Behavioral Intervention Team with administrative units
• Oversee communication with students, faculty, staff, parents, attorneys and others on student support matters
• Provide consultation for students with problems or concerns (e.g., sexual assault, stalking, harassment)
• Provide after-hours on-call support for ODOS/ORL department response team during emergencies
• Direct student programming and learning outcomes related to student support and intervention
• Develop, implement and analyze assessment initiatives to foster student success and well-being
