Job summary

The University of Utah seeks a highly motivated, student-centered Director for Campus Support & Intervention. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Students, the Director will supervise campus student support systems, provide leadership and trainings, and chair the Behavioral Intervention Team to address student well‑being and safety.

Responsibilities include cross‑departmental leadership, policy development, and statewide best practice adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area (or equivalency).
• 8 years of progressively more responsible management experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, human relations and effective communications skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development, administration and revision of departmental policies and procedures for student support and intervention.
• Maintain student support records in compliance with Federal laws and University policies, including Clery Act, Title IX, and Drug Free Schools.
• Serve as chair of the University’s Behavioral Intervention Team with administrative units.
• Oversee communications with students, faculty, staff, parents, attorneys and others on student support matters.
• Provide consultation for students with problems, questions or concerns (e.g., sexual assault, stalking, harassment).
• Direct after-hours on-call support for the ODOS/ORL department response team in emergencies.
• Direct student programming and learning outcomes in student support and intervention to improve development and institutional objectives.
• Develop, implement and analyze assessment initiatives to foster student success and well‑being.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related area
