Qualifications

• Master’s degree in higher education administration, student affairs, or related field.
• 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in student conduct, community standards, or a related area.
• Knowledge of higher education law, due process, and regulatory compliance.
• Mediation experience or a Juris Doctorate would be an asset.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to write and revise policies aligned with university values and laws.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Commitment to promoting a diverse, inclusive, and respectful campus community.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, and update university community standards, policies, and guidelines.
• Oversee the student conduct process, ensuring fair and consistent procedures.
• Conduct investigations and hearings for alleged violations, maintaining confidentiality and due process.
• Establish and oversee a structured conflict resolution process, mediating when necessary.
• Provide guidance to students, staff and faculty in conflict resolution efforts.
• Monitor compliance with policies, identify violations, and report trends.
• Deliver training on policies and conflict resolution strategies.
• Prepare regular reports with metrics and recommendations based on data analysis.
• Lead a team of hearing officers and ensure alignment with university objectives.
• Participate in on-call rotation as administrator on call.
