Job summary

Hebbia in New York City seeks a Director of Business Operations to own the pricing, consumption economics, and GTM decision support. You will connect product usage, customer economics, revenue, and spend to help the executive team decide where to invest and how to operate.

Reporting to the President/CTO, you will run planning, forecast headcount, and lead strategic analyses as a sole contributor, coordinating with Finance, Product, Engineering, and Sales to translate decisions into operating

Qualifications

• 7+ years across strategic finance, business operations, management consulting, investment banking, private equity, or corporate strategy, including startup experience.
• Led board preparation, built operating narratives and metrics, and partnered with Finance for accurate business pictures.
• Experience with pricing decisions; enterprise usage/consumption pricing a plus.
• Financial modeling rigor that drives decisions; strong P&L intuition.
• Comfortable as the sole owner in high-ambiguity settings with no delegation.
• Credible with Sales, Finance, and Product; able to test pricing with customers.
• Deep AI curiosity; AI-native fluency is a big plus.
• Willing to work in person five days a week in SoHo NYC or San Francisco.

Responsibilities

• Drive board preparation end to end: build narrative, coordinate inputs and deck, clarify owners.
• Own the commercial and economic side of pricing and consumption: margins, rate cards, renewal migration.
• Own revenue and GTM decision analytics: pipeline, quota scenarios, account economics.
• Run annual and quarterly planning: operating plan, headcount, plan vs actual, resource allocation.
• Lead strategic analyses and cross-functional projects: ABM investments, build/buy decisions, pricing experiments.
• Partner with GTM as a credible counterweight to enable good deals and pricing decisions.
