Job summary

WSB seeks a seasoned Director of Structures to lead and expand our Bridge Design services in Colorado. You will leverage relationships, drive strategic partnerships, and oversee project leadership for a range of clients including CDOT, cities, and private entities.

You will manage teams, lead negotiations, and ensure high-quality, cost-effective designs while mentoring staff and pursuing market growth in the Colorado region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an accredited school.
• Minimum 10 years of bridge and related structural design experience.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer in Colorado.
• Experience with CDOT and LRFD design procedures.
• Proficient in bridge design software and calculation tools (Excel/MathCad); drafting skills in MicroStation or AutoCAD.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities; mentor staff.
• Growth mindset with ability to drive market growth and strategic client partnerships.

• Identify and pursue strategic partnerships and bridge design project opportunities.
• Lead a team delivering bridge and structural design for CDOT, cities, counties, and private entities.
• Provide innovative, efficient designs focused on quality.
