Job summary

Stanley Consultants seeks a Structural Department Manager in Denver, CO to lead a high-performing team focused on transportation structures. The role requires deep design expertise, staffing oversight, and strategic growth initiatives within the Colorado market.

You will mentor staff, coordinate proposals and project delivery, and ensure QA/QC across department projects while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a Project Manager role.
• Active Professional Engineer license in Colorado.
• Recent experience with Colorado DOT and local projects.
• Experience producing bridge design documents for various crossings.
• Proficiency with major structural software tools listed earlier.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client liaison skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and mentor a high-performing transportation structural team in Colorado.
• Lead staff on project design plans for transportation structures.
• Plan staffing to support department growth and project delivery.
• Develop and implement growth initiatives with leadership.
• Support RFQs and proposals with technical approaches and work plans.
• Oversee project scoping, fee estimating, and client negotiations.
• Provide status updates and forecasts to management.
• Coordinate priorities, deadlines, and budgets across projects.
