Job summary

Collins Engineers, Inc. in Denver, CO seeks a self-motivated Complex Bridge Design Specialist to lead bridge designs for Western U.S. projects, including the Colorado River corridor repair and renewal efforts.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with DOTs and clients, and drive plans, specs and estimates from concept through construction, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery on high-impact structures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering; master’s degree preferred.
• Professional engineer (P.E.) license is required; structural engineer (S.E.) certification preferred.
• Experience with plan, specification, estimate packages and load rating.

Responsibilities

• Lead and review bridge designs for replacement and rehabilitation projects across the Western U.S.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Oversee planning, scheduling and execution of design projects from concept to construction
• Collaborate with clients, DOTs and municipalities
• Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and prepare construction documents, specs and cost estimates
