Job summary

Crescent Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Banquet Manager in Santa Monica to plan, coordinate, and direct all banquet and catered events for guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

You will lead banquet staff, manage event execution, and ensure compliance with brand standards and safety regulations while collaborating with multiple hotel departments for weddings, conferences, and social functions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of banquet, catering, or food & beverage leadership experience.
• Previous supervisory or management experience required.
• ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification or equivalent required or obtainable in timeframe.
• Alcohol Awareness or Responsible Beverage Service Certification where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of banquet operations, labor management, inventory control, and hotel F&B standards.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, supervise, and direct all banquet operations for events.
• Review BEOs daily to understand event details and requirements.
• Coordinate with Sales & Catering to fulfill client expectations and contractual obligations.
• Supervise banquet staff during event execution and ensure service quality.
• Recruit, train, and develop banquet associates; manage staffing schedules and labor costs.
• Ensure banquet rooms and equipment are prepared, clean, and compliant with standards.
• Monitor food/beverage presentation and guest satisfaction; respond to client requests and concerns.
• Collaborate with Engineering on equipment maintenance and facility repairs.
