Job summary

Snowflake seeks an entrepreneurial and visionary engineering leader to build and scale our AI Enterprise group. As Director of Engineering for AI Enterprise, you will lead a world-class team designing cutting-edge AI solutions on the Cortex AI Platform, partnering with Fortune 100 customers to unlock business value.

You will define the vision, scale a global organization, and own end-to-end product lines from concept to production, collaborating with Product, GTM, Research, and Sales to drive

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4 years in an Engineering Director role with experience managing managers.
• Deep technical expertise in the AI/ML domain, with proven, hands-on experience building and deploying solutions leveraging LLMs, NLP, and other generative AI technologies.
• Proven experience scaling engineering organizations across multiple geographic locations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a technical vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, mentor, and scale a high-performing, global engineering organization.
• Define the long-term technical vision and organizational structure for the AI Solutions team.
• Lead the technical design and development of AI/ML solutions using Cortex and ML, delivering enterprise-grade deployments.
• Act as the senior engineering authority in customer engagements with Fortune 100 clients.
• Collaborate with Product, Sales, Delivery, and Customer Success to drive outcomes and roadmaps.
• Drive continuous improvement in AI methodologies and represent Snowflake's AI capabilities in the technical community.
• Travel up to 25% to engage with customers and global teams.
