Job summary

The Director of AI/ML Engineering — North America at Stellantis NV leads a team of 6–8 engineers to deliver production AI products for engineering, quality, and vehicle data use cases. This is a hands-on leadership role balancing strong software development with strategic direction.

You will recruit, mentor, and develop engineers, ensure CI/CD and production readiness, and Collaborate across global teams to align NA solutions with Stellantis’ platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• At least 12 years in software engineering with hands-on solution development and leadership experience.
• Proven track record shipping and operating production software in a matrixed organization.
• Experience delivering ML/AI-powered products with ownership of production systems.
• Hands-on familiarity with LLM-based development and agentic systems across multiple layers.
• Strong Python skills; experience with AWS and modern data/ML platforms (Databricks/Spark).
• Demonstrated ability to partner with program/product-management teams.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the NA AI/ML engineering team (6–8 engineers) and recruit through pipelines.
• Deliver production AI/ML solutions end-to-end: data pipelines, model services, dashboards.
• Set engineering standards: architecture, code review, testing, CI/CD; stay hands-on.
• Collaborate with MLOps and hand off to production readiness teams.
• Partner with program and product-management for scope, priorities, and delivery.
• Coordinate with global teams; align NA products with Stellantis platforms and standards.
